A sign of the times ahead!?! With only a handful of Tugs left in operation and working mainly up north, this working will now see 2 Class 66's as seen here at Shrivenham. Now that i have a decent shot of the double headed working i will not be making any effort in seeing this train again, unless of course a tug does the honours again or if Shed 152 happens to end up on it. Here sees 66207 & 66083 haul the 6B33 Theale - Margam, empty Murco tanks. 02-01-2010

Loco hauled service at it's very best! When i heard that 37's would replace the usual Skips on the last 2009 FGW Bristol - Weymouth summer Saturday service, i thought it was just a wild rumour that had spread across the rail forums. In time it turned out to be true after seeing that the growlers had made their way down to Barton Hill the day before. I prepared for a early departure (7am) from my home in Swindon to find a good spot around the Westbury area to photo this working, after walking across a field and falling into a Stream my efforts was rewarded when i stumbled across this location between Yarnbrook & Westbury. DB Schenker liveried 37670, sporting a 'WESTBURY TRAINCREWS' headboard leads 37401 with the 2o72 service. Just for the record this was the first 37 hauled service train since 37414 pulled the curtain down on 25th September 1999 and the first EWS / DBS 37 at Weymouth since 37401/406 on 1Z38 on 9th April 2005.   Out & About 2009  (135)

Looking superb and standing out in the sun from the mute colours surrounding DB Schenker livery 59206 pictured here at Wolfhall with the A17 Merehead - Acton, MR stone wagons. Thanks must go to Mark Finch for showing me this location & the info. I was due to go Pram shopping with the Mrs at the same time this photo was taken...Oops, was definatly worth it, but my left ear didn't think the same after a quick call home :)  Berks & Hants (B&H)  (81)
